JC Application for Sigma 2027 camps

We will be inviting Junior Counselors (JC) to join us at one of two camps this summer:

The registration deadline is September 30th (23:59 EST)

To prepare for your application, check the list of questions you will be asked in the Questionnaire once you register.

Your application is not considered complete until you have submitted both the registration and the questionnaire.

Application Process:

The JC application for 2027 has two parts:

  1. Registration: This is the form linked above. It collects your basic information and reccomendations and gets your application started.
  2. Questionnaire: After you submit the registration, we'll send you a separate questionnaire form by email. This is where you'll answer the more detailed application questions.

Your application is not considered complete until you have submitted both the registration and the questionnaire forms.

Eligibility to apply for the Junior Counselor position:

Eligibility to apply for the Junior Counselor position:

  • You must be a SigmaCamp alum
  • You are turning 17 years or older before the start of SigmaCamp/SigmaWest 2027
  • You must have finished high school or be entering university by Summer 2027.
  • You can make yourself available in Summer 2027 during the dates of precamp (couple days before camp) and camp of SigmaWest and/or SigmaCamp

Program Choice:

SigmaWest is our new program for students on the West Coast. It is a residential STEM summer camp in California for students aged 12–15. The 2027 dates are TBD

SigmaCamp, our flagship program, dates are TBD.

SigmaNext does not accept Junior Counselors.

The location where you are invited to join our staff will be determined by your preferences listed in the application as well as our staffing needs.
 

Additional Information:

  • As are all SigmaStaff, Junior Counselors are volunteers (not paid). All living expenses and travel expenses are covered.
  • Your application isn't complete until you have submitted the application form and received a confirmation from us by email.
  • Results will be announced by January/February 2027.
