This semilab is a perfect opportunity to jump into the world of electricity and microcontrollers. It will walk you into the world of programmable electronics using an Arduino microcontroller, teach you how to assemble your own simple electrical circuits, and show you how to read and follow schematic drawings.
We will start with electrostatics and Coulomb’s law, then discuss electric current: what it is, and how to measure it. You’ll get to know your multimeter and maybe become best friends with it, learn Ohm’s law, and see how it can be helpful in your electronic creations, as well as in keeping the electronic parts alive. We will discuss the basics of computer architecture, write programs, and get a bird’s-eye view of modern-day IoT technology.
